Like a destination wedding, come to a destination retreat! You are invited to a unique and powerful encounter with Jesus Christ, the same powerful Spiritual Exercises preached by renowned retreat master, Fr. John Hopkins, LC from Our Lady of Bethesda Retreat Center, but in the Holy Land retracing Jesus’ footsteps!
Daily: Mass, Rosary, Guided Meditation, time for private silent prayer at each of the pilgrimage sites, time and traffic permitting. We have planned our days to begin early and end early in the evening to allow ample time for prayer and rest. We will pray at practical moments; especially during our traveling periods in the bus.

Itinerary for Spanish/English Pilgrimage, April 28-May 9, 2018
Day 1 Arrival & Transfer to Galilee: Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, Tel-Aviv, we meet our local guide and driver and board our deluxe motor coach and ride towards Galilee, with stops at Mt Carmel, time permitting. Mass, dinner and hotel at Magdala Center.
Day 2 The Annunciation, his first miracle and Transfiguration: We begin in Nazareth, site of the Annunciation and Jesus’ childhood home, and Mary’s Well. We continue on to Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle, optional renewal of marriage vows. We end the day at Mount Tabor, the side of his Transfiguration.
Day 3 The Calling of his Apostles: Today we are on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. We start the day in the newly excavated town of Mary Magdalene, Magdala. We continue on to Tabgha, the site of the multiplication of the fish & loaves and on to the church of the Primacy. We conclude the day at the site where the Apostles washed their nets. Evening Holy Hour at the Magdala Center.
Day 4 His Public Ministry: Once again on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, we will celebrate Mass and spend time in Capernaum, “the town of Jesus”, where he lived during his public Ministry. We continue on to the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Weather permitting, we will set sail to Tiberias at sunset.
Day 5 “Going Up to Jerusalem”: We begin our journey towards Jerusalem. Our first stop will be at the largest of the Decapolis cities of ancient Palestine, Beit-Shean, where Jesus passed through many times en route to Jerusalem! We will journey on to Samaria, the town where Jesus met the Samaritan Woman, Jacob’s Well.
Day 6 The Visitation and his Birth: , Today we set out to the town of Ein Karem, the site of the Visitation and the birth of John the Baptist. Then, we drive to Bethlehem, the site of Jesus’ birth, then on to Shepherd’s Field.
Day 7 His Baptism and Temptation: Today we experience the desert. We renew our Baptismal Promises at the Qasr El Yahud Baptismal site, visit the Mt. of Temptations and set out into the desert, walking along the Wadi Qelt to the overlook of the Monastery of St. George.
Day 8 His entry into Jerusalem and His Last Days: Our day begins at the Temple Steps, Temple Mount and Western Wall. We will trace Jesus’ footsteps along the Via Dolorosa and onto Calvary. Afterwards we will retrace his steps among the 1st Century sites in Old Jerusalem
Day 9 His Passion and Crucifixion: Our day startsWe enter into his Passion, walking along the Palm Sunday Road, with stops at the Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit Churches. We will pray in the Garden of Gethsemane and continue to Caiaphas’ house, and the site of Peter’s betrayal, St. Peter in Galicantu . Evening Holy Hour at the Church of All Nations in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Day 10 His Resurrection and Pentecost: Very early Morning Mass inside the Holy Tomb and visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Then we continue to Abu Gosh, the road to Emmaus, and conclude the morning at the site of the Ascension followed by a visit to the Cenacle – to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit! The afternoon is on your own to experience Jerusalem or go swim in the Dead Sea. Farewell Dinner.
Day 11 Filled with His Holy Spirit and apostolic zeal: we return to the USA
